A record 12 ships reported attacks around the Strait of Hormuz in one week, while the IMO said the waterway remains unsafe to transit.
- IMO chief Arsenio Dominguez said Iran has provided no information enabling the Strait to reopen, that over 100 ships have been attacked, and mines remain unremoved.
- UKMTO data showed 12 ships reporting attacks from October 5–11, a record weekly figure since the war began, with six hit in a single day.
- Container ship GFS Pride sank after a strike, its 21 crew rescued; tanker Petro Dolphin burned after a drone attack off Oman, with two sailors still missing.
- About 12.6 million barrels of oil crossed the Strait daily on October 13, down from 15 million in late September and a pre-war average of 17 million.
- Iran's Revolutionary Guard said GFS Pride took a prohibited route and struck a naval mine in the strait.
- US Central Command rejected that account, asserting the IRGC fired a projectile at the container ship.
- Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority said the attacks violated international law after confirming the crew's safe evacuation.
