Renewed fighting between Houthi forces and government troops along Yemen's western coast has driven at least 76,000 people from their homes since July.
- The United Nations reported at least 76,000 people displaced in Yemen since July, with displacement accelerating as clashes between Houthi and government forces intensified.
- The International Organization for Migration said a quarter of the displaced fled during the past week alone, and a spokesperson said more than 70,000 left their homes since early September.
- IOM said displacement concentrated in Taiz governorate, where about 8,300 families, roughly 50,000 people, were forced from their districts, and warned that humanitarian needs exceed available resources.
- Local authorities in Aden have begun preparing a camp for 3,000 to 5,000 displaced people, Yemeni media reported, as Houthi forces advanced along the coast toward Bab al-Mandab.
