Mohamed Abdel Moneim rules out return to Al Ahly this summer

Al Ahly board member Sied Abdel Hafiz asked defender Mohamed Abdel Moneim about returning this summer, but the player said he wishes to stay in Europe.

• Mohamed Abdel Moneim told Al Ahly he wants to continue in Europe even if he leaves French club Nice, according to an Al Ahly source.
• Al Ahly declined to push for his return due to concerns over his recent muscle injury and a previous ACL injury, the source said.
• Al Ahly coach Hussein Ammouta is seeking a fully fit defender and did not press Abdel Moneim to accept the return offer.
