A Vincent van Gogh painting not publicly shown for more than 60 years went on display in Hong Kong ahead of a New York auction.
- Hundreds of visitors viewed Châtaigniers en fleurs (Chestnut Trees in Blossom) at the Hong Kong exhibition on Tuesday.
- Van Gogh completed the painting in 1890 in Auvers-sur-Oise, about two months before his death.
- Sotheby's estimated the painting will sell for up to $180 million, which would set a record for a Van Gogh at auction.
- The work belongs to a 12-piece collection owned by the late Argentine collectors Nelly Arrieta de Blaquier and Carlos Pedro Blaquier.
