(opens the publisher’s site)Al Ahly defender Yasser Ibrahim will miss the team's CAF Confederation Cup round-of-32 first leg against Uganda's Kitara FC on October 17.
- A club source said Yasser Ibrahim will not travel to Uganda because CAF suspended him for two matches and fined him $5,000 over last season's Esperance match.
- The source said the defender, recovering from an ankle injury, will train with teammates Cristo and Reda Slim to regain fitness.
- Al Ahly's medical staff will decide his readiness on Tuesday before the team departs for Uganda by private plane on Wednesday.
- The return leg is scheduled for October 25 at Cairo International Stadium.
- Al Ahly sporting director Wael Gomaa said Karim El Debes's participation in the October 17 Kitara match remains undecided as he recovers from injury.
