Trump tells Tennessee supporters they would applaud him for "the dumbest things"

Campaigning ahead of the US midterms, Donald Trump told a Saturday rally in Clarksville, Tennessee, that supporters would clap for him no matter what he said.

• Trump said he could say "the dumbest things" and supporters would still applaud, citing "so much love in these rooms."
• Trump said he instead voices "logical things": secure borders, lower taxes, and a strong military.
• Trump repeated his claim that he won the 2020 election and was cheated in that race.
• Trump said Republicans in power would bring an economic depression, calling them "incompetent."
