Thousands gathered in central London on Saturday to demand an end to UK arms exports to Israel, the latest of 37 such marches.
- Organizers said 250,000 people attended the march, which ran from Victoria Embankment under the slogan "End the genocide."
- Husam Zomlot, the Palestinian ambassador to the UK, said Israel's "atrocities" continue "and so does the solidarity of the British people."
- Police arrested several protesters, including people with placards supporting proscribed group Palestine Action and others who climbed the Battle of Britain memorial.
- The march was the first since foreign secretary Ed Miliband announced sanctions on Israeli settlements and declared Israel's occupation of the West Bank unlawful.
