Egypt's endowments ministry and women's council move to activate cooperation protocol

Egypt's minister of endowments met the head of the National Council for Women on Tuesday to activate a cooperation protocol covering women's and family issues.

• Minister Osama al-Azhari received council head Amal Ammar to discuss mechanisms for activating the cooperation protocol signed between the two bodies.
• Ammar proposed forming an executive committee to follow up implementation of the protocol and coordinate efforts.
• The meeting covered issuing national ID cards for women, the "Ambassadors of Love and Peace" program, the "Egyptian Kitchen" initiative, and "Dawar" sessions with female preachers.
• Al-Azhari said the ministry will increase support for the "Egyptian Kitchen" initiative this year compared with last year.
