The Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation has launched festivities marking 30 years of Cairo Metro Line 2's Shubra El-Kheima–El-Mounib operations.

The company announced the celebrations run Saturday through Monday under the slogan "30 years of serving millions."
Events are scheduled at Al-Shohadaa station Saturday, Rod El-Farag Sunday, and Shubra El-Kheima Monday.
Line 2, the first metro line to cross beneath the Nile, connects Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia governorates.
