Cairo governorate, El Maadi company sign protocol to legalize squatter status on company lands

Cairo Governorate and El Maadi Development and Reconstruction Company signed a protocol to legalize the status of squatters on company lands in Ezbat Khairallah.

• Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, El Maadi Development CEO Sadek Suleiman, and Holding Company for Construction and Development CEO Mohamed Laban signed the protocol.
• The protocol covers company-owned lands in Ezbat Khairallah and around the Istabl Antar area.
• Regularization will proceed under Law No. 168 of 2025, with the governorate handling surveys, inspections, and application review.
• Governor Ibrahim Saber said the governorate would balance protecting state and company rights with organizing residents' legal status.
