EasyJet Holidays advertised spa and gym at Crete resort that lacked both facilities

A customer who booked a £1,070 wellness retreat at the Vasia Sea Retreat in Crete found the spa, gym, and fitness classes were at a closed sister hotel.

• EasyJet Holidays offered the customer alternatives at two other hotels an hour's round trip away, requiring separate trips for each facility.
• The company initially offered £160 compensation, then increased it to £500 after the customer cited the Package Travel Regulations.
• EasyJet Holidays said it has updated its website to clarify that the spa and fitness facilities are at the Vasia Resort and Spa, which is open.
