Warehouse fire sends thick smoke over Al-Talbiya, Giza

A fire in a warehouse containing paper and wooden chairs has caused thick smoke to cover the sky over Al-Talbiya in western Giza.

• A security source said the fire broke out in a ground-floor warehouse near the Minyab ring road on Tuesday evening.
• Civil protection forces controlled the fire after it produced heavy smoke that blanketed the area.
• The director of civil protection in Giza ordered cooling operations to prevent the fire from reigniting or spreading to nearby buildings.
