The National Oil Corporation warned of a possible force majeure declaration after the closure of the main Al-Hamada–Zawiya pipeline halted production at three sites on Tuesday.
- The NOC said members of the Petroleum Facilities Guard shut the Al-Hamada–Zawiya valve on Tuesday, halting production and operations at three sites.
- The NOC warned it may declare force majeure if the valve remains closed or other fields face similar closures, and called on state authorities to intervene.
- The NOC rejected threats to close the North Al-Hamada field or other facilities over sit-ins or demands, saying stoppages damage Libya's economy and its reputation as a stable energy supplier.
- Oil Minister Khalifa Rajab Abdulsadek said Libya targets gas output of at least 4 billion cubic feet per day within three to five years, requiring $17–18 billion in investment.
