A burst Thames Water main in Molesey has left thousands of properties across seven London and Surrey boroughs without water and forced schools to close.
- Thames Water said up to 15,000 properties lost water or pressure after the main burst early Monday, with about 6,000 still affected.
- Schools including Esher College, Kingston grammar school, Long Ditton infant and nursery school and Thames Ditton infant school closed for the day.
- A Thames Water spokesperson apologised, saying engineers were on site repairing the burst in Molesey and that fixes would "likely take some time."
- Lib Dem MP Monica Harding said water was leaking at 750 litres a second and called the outage "completely unacceptable."
