Egyptian actor files police complaint over compound water sabotage and threats

Actor Abed Anani has filed a complaint with Third October police alleging recurrent water-meter tampering and threats by compound staff in Hadayek October.

• Anani filed complaint No. 8979 alleging a worker repeatedly damaged his water meter and pipes, cutting off his water for days.
• Anani said he caught the worker tampering with the meter, then was threatened in front of surveillance cameras when summoning compound security.
• In a Facebook post, Anani appealed to the Interior Ministry to intervene, citing available surveillance footage for verification.
• Giza security identified the second party and detained all three individuals, pending referral to the public prosecution.
