Zamalek, Al-Merrikh deny reports Sudanese club covered Zamalek's Rwanda training costs

Both clubs have denied reports that Al-Merrikh paid for Zamalek's training costs during the Egyptian team's stay in Rwanda.

• Zamalek will face the Rwandan Army on Friday at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali in the first leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round.
• Ali Jaafar, Al-Merrikh's football committee member, said the club did not cover Zamalek's training costs, stating it only coordinated with the stadium official.
• A Zamalek source denied the reports, saying the club covers all its accommodation and training costs in Rwanda until its return to Cairo on Sunday.
