GMCA discloses Burnham's contacts with Manchester City and its Abu Dhabi owners

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority has published details of Prime Minister Andy Burnham's contacts with Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak during his mayoralty.

• In October 2021 Burnham, as Greater Manchester mayor, met al-Mubarak at the UK government's global investment summit.
• Burnham attended Vincent Kompany's testimonial in September 2019 as a City guest, meeting the chairman informally in the stands.
• Burnham told MPs that all his dealings with City's owners would be published.
• Shadow sports minister Louie French said the disclosure offered "precious little information" about what was discussed or agreed.
