Saudi tourist drowns in Uzungöl Lake after attempting to retrieve dropped bag

A Saudi tourist drowned in Trabzon's Uzungöl Lake after jumping in to retrieve a bag that had fallen from his family, while another tourist was rescued alive.

• A Saudi tourist, later identified as Omar Mohammed, died after entering the lake in Çaykara district to retrieve a dropped bag.
• A second tourist who jumped in was rescued alive by a Turkish citizen.
• Turkish authorities launched a search operation involving police divers, fire department underwater teams, AFAD, gendarmerie, and medical crews.
• The body was recovered by Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality diving teams and handed over to medical and judicial authorities.
