Morocco's 2026 parliamentary elections left the Authenticity and Modernity Party in first place, reshaping the balance among the country's main parties.
- The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) led the provisional results with 97 seats, ahead of the RNI's 66 and Istiqlal's 65.
- The Justice and Development Party (PJD) returned with 54 seats, up from 13 in 2021, while the governing RNI fell from 102 to 66.
- Turnout stood at 38.02 percent, the second-lowest since 1999 and below the 50.35 percent recorded in 2021.
- PAM coordinator Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri said that if the RNI came first, she personally would not join a government led by the party.
- El Mansouri emerged as the leading candidate to become Morocco's next prime minister, a post that would make her the country's first female premier.
- Morocco's National Council for Human Rights recorded 44 cases of explicit religious symbol use in field campaigns for the election.
