CAF to hold Confederation Cup draw with 16th qualifier unresolved amid CAS case

The Confederation Cup group-stage draw proceeds Wednesday with the last qualifier undecided after a CAS ruling delayed the Belouizdad–Mauritania Customs tie.

• CAF will hold the group-stage draw Wednesday at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters, with 16 teams sorted into four pots.
• A source inside CAF said the clubs competitions committee will place the unresolved qualifier in Pot 1 with Al Ahly, USM Alger, and AS FAR.
• The placement relies on Belouizdad's ranking, with Belouizdad, Mauritania Customs, or Hafia Conakry still in contention for the final spot.
• The committee will also set the pots for Black Bulls, Real Bamako, and ASKO Kara after the three clubs tied on ranking points.
