Egypt's Environmental Protection Fund approves climate adaptation and green industry financing

Egypt's Environmental Protection Fund board, chaired by Minister Manal Awad, has approved climate adaptation and green industry financing projects.

• Awad chaired the 25th board meeting of the Environmental Protection Fund at the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
• The board approved the fund's final account for fiscal year 2025/2026 and the minutes of its 24th meeting.
• The board approved funding for the Climate Adaptation and Resilience Center, an African Union NEPAD project based at Beit el-Qahira.
• The board approved increased revolving loan capital for small and medium industrial firms with the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the National Bank of Egypt.
