Pioli set to take over as Trabzonspor head coach after reported agreement

Turkish reports say Trabzonspor has agreed terms with Italian coach Stefano Pioli to take charge until next June, after a run of poor results.

• Turkish outlet 61saat reported the club finalized a deal with Pioli running through June of next year, with the coach to earn €3 million per season.
• Reports said Pioli is expected to arrive in Turkey in the coming hours for his official unveiling.
• The choice of Pioli drew on his attacking style, his 2022 Serie A title with Milan, and his familiarity with Mohamed Salah's game, the reports said.
• Trabzonspor, which signed Salah on a free transfer this season, sit eighth in the Turkish league with seven points.
