Egypt sets October 18 start for monthly school exams, expanded to all grades

Egypt's Education Ministry set October 18 as the start of monthly exams for all transfer grades, including primary and Baccalaureate students for the first time.

• Monthly exams begin October 18 across all transfer grades, from grade one primary through grade two secondary.
• For the first time, the exams include first and second primary grades and the first two grades of the Egyptian Baccalaureate.
• First-semester final exams are scheduled January 9–14, 2027.
• The fund board, chaired by Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, approved 50% funding of entitlements for teachers hired to fill staffing shortages.
