Poultry and egg prices decline across Egyptian markets

Egypt's official price portal recorded a decline in average live chicken and egg carton prices during Thursday's October 15 trading.

• Average chicken kilo prices fell 1.54 pounds to 106.44 pounds on October 15, according to the Cabinet Information Center's price portal.
• The average egg carton dropped 9.6 pounds to 118.17 pounds, while baladi egg cartons fell 4.1 pounds to 132.82 pounds.
• White chicken farm prices declined about 3 pounds, stabilizing at 76 pounds and selling to consumers for roughly 87 pounds per kilo.
• Market reports the same day priced red egg cartons at 125 pounds and white at 120, down about 5 pounds per carton.
