UK maritime authorities reported projectiles striking three ships in the Strait of Hormuz as Tehran and Washington traded conflicting claims.
- UK Maritime Trade Operations announced that an oil tanker, an LNG carrier and another vessel were struck by unspecified projectiles in the strait on Tuesday.
- Revolutionary Guard spokesman Hussein Mohbi said the strait is witnessing daily military clashes and that Iranian forces are targeting ships to prevent passage.
- Mohbi claimed Washington has stopped responding to Iranian movements, said operations are coordinated with the diplomatic apparatus, and that related decisions are taken within the Supreme National Security Council.
- US Central Command had rejected claims of Iranian control over the strait, citing thousands of transiting vessels and over a billion barrels of oil moved in recent months.
