Israel's operation in Hebron, launched after Friday's shooting that killed two soldiers, has displaced over 3,000 Palestinians and drawn a UN ethnic-cleansing warning.
- UN Human Rights chief Volker Türk warned the operation raises serious concerns of ethnic cleansing, calling collective punishment a grave violation of international law.
- Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin said 488 families totaling 3,171 people have been displaced across the governorate.
- Netanyahu announced a large-scale operation, and the Israeli army said it would enforce a full closure of West Bank crossings on Tuesday, the day of Israel's parliamentary election.
- Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich justified the demolitions as "establishing deterrence and exacting a price."
