Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch's office has ruled that a Senatobia police officer was justified in the June shooting death of one-year-old Kohen Wiley.
- Fitch's office announced Monday that the shooting of Kohen, who sat in his mother's lap, was justified.
- Officer Sgt Hunter Foster fired into the vehicle during a shoplifting call, killing Kohen and wounding Latoya Ferrell.
- Family attorney Ben Crump said an independent autopsy indicated Kohen was shot from the side, contradicting officers' claims.
- Neither mother Vellesiya Wiley nor friend Latoya Ferrell has been charged.
