Israel announced Tuesday it has killed two commanders — one from Hamas and one from Islamic Jihad — in separate strikes in the Gaza Strip.
- Israel said it killed Muhsin Abu Hadaf, an Islamic Jihad rocket cell commander, in a weekend strike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
- The military said Abu Hadaf took part in the October 7 attack on the Kissufim area and was planning attacks against Israeli forces.
- The army said troops and Shin Bet killed Ahmad al-Batsh, commander of Hamas's Jabaliya Battalion, in a Monday night raid in northern Gaza.
- Hamas sources confirmed Batsh died in an airstrike on a car north of Gaza City, and a local source reported a second al-Qassam commander survived an attempt in Tal al-Hawa.
- The Israeli military alleged Batsh managed weapons for Hamas's North Gaza brigade, facilitated arms supplies to its battalions, and pushed attacks on Israeli civilians and forces.
