Egypt's Ministry of Supply has resumed reviewing appeals from citizens whose subsidy ration cards were suspended, including those taken out of the system for enrolling children in private schools.
- The Ministry opened the appeals process on June 14 for citizens removed from the subsidy system who believe they remain eligible, through the Egypt Digital platform.
- Applicants must update their data online, then visit their local supply office with documents proving their eligibility for support.
- The Ministry stated it will review all appeals and, if eligibility is confirmed per the regulations, will reactivate the card the following month.
- The Ministry said suspensions resulted from data-cleaning based on social-justice criteria, including owning a luxury home, a company, enrolling children in international schools, or owning a luxury vehicle.
