(opens the publisher’s site)Egypt's investment minister opened the Qatari Diar Alam El-Rom investment zone on the northwest coast, attended by senior officials and Qatar's ambassador.
- Investment Minister Mohamed Farid Saleh inaugurated the Alam El-Rom zone of Qatari Diar, with Housing Minister Randa Al-Menashawy and Qatar's ambassador Jassim Al-Thani attending.
- Investment Authority CEO Mohamed Awad said 12 existing investment zones house 1,300 projects and provide 78,000 jobs.
- Saleh said foreign direct investment inflows reached about $18 billion by the end of fiscal year 2025/2026.
- Saleh said the private sector's share of total investment rose to 65% in Q3 of fiscal year 2025/2026, from 40–45% previously.
