Hidden video device found in cabin of Australian navy ship HMAS Leeuwin

The Australian Defence Force confirmed a video recording device was found in a cabin of HMAS Leeuwin in Cairns on 11 October.

• The device was discovered on 11 October in a cabin of HMAS Leeuwin, alongside in Cairns, Queensland.
• Defence referred the incident to the Joint Military Police Unit and is working with civilian authorities.
• Senator Jacqui Lambie told the Senate she was contacted with allegations that concealed cameras were found in female sailors' showers.
• Lambie said she was told footage may have been uploaded online before the cameras were discovered.
