Riyad Mahrez has left Saudi club Al-Ahli by mutual consent after three seasons and joined Qatari side Al-Shamal on a free transfer.

Mahrez arrived in Qatar on Monday ahead of completing the move to Al-Shamal.
His Al-Shamal contract is short-term and includes a player option to exit in January and an option for a one-year extension.
With Al-Ahli, Mahrez won two AFC Champions League Elite titles and the Saudi Super Cup, scoring 37 goals in 122 appearances.
In a farewell message, Mahrez thanked Al-Ahli's board, coaching staff, teammates, and fans for their support during his time at the club.
