Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has said it would be "ridiculous" to question his job security after "two or three" bad results.
- United lost at home to a 10-man Manchester City, and Brighton became the first side in 50 years to come from two goals down to win at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup.
- Supporters booed and chanted against the team following the Carabao Cup exit.
- Carrick said the situation is "not a catastrophe or a disaster" and "not the end of the world."
- Carrick said "blame me... I will take the responsibility," adding the focus should be on finding solutions across the whole club.
- The Athletic reported that Carrick's position is not currently under threat, with sporting director Jason Wilcox favouring stability, but results will decide his future.
