Zamalek's board has rejected a Libyan club's offer to sign left-back Ahmed Fetouh, a club source said.
- A Zamalek source said the board rejected the offer, received two days ago, immediately upon arrival.
- The source said the club has no intention of releasing Fetouh during the current period in order to preserve the squad.
- Zamalek resumed training Tuesday after a rest break that followed a friendly four-goal win over Modern Sport.
- Zamalek had initially agreed to sell Fetouh to Ahly Benghazi for $500,000 before requesting the fee be raised to $700,000.
- The club decided to keep Fetouh after head coach Moetamed Gamal insisted his services were needed.
- Fetouh still hopes Zamalek will approve the transfer despite the board's rejection of it.
