Pat Cummins has told Usman Khawaja he may detail the 2018 ball-tampering saga in his autobiography, as Australia prepares for its first Test series in South Africa since the incident.
- Khawaja's autobiography, releasing in November, will be the first from an Australian player who featured in the 2018 Cape Town Test.
- Cummins confirmed Khawaja informed him of the book, saying "tell your story, it's fine" and that the matter was dealt with by investigations at the time.
- Australia begins its first Test against South Africa in Durban on Friday, eight years after the ball-tampering scandal.
- Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon reiterated in 2021 that they had no prior knowledge of the plan to alter the ball.
