Mohamed Ali Fahim, head of Egypt's Climate Change Information Center, warned that large day-night temperature differences could harm newly planted winter crops.
- Fahim said the October 20–30 period marks "days of confusion" with warm days and cool nights across Egypt.
- Fahim warned that thermal fluctuations and high humidity could help spread agricultural pests and fungal diseases.
- Fahim said potatoes, sugar beet, beans, peas, strawberries, artichokes, onions and garlic are currently in early growth stages in fields.
- Fahim said rain chances remain low, with possible light rain on the northwest coast and parts of the delta and Cairo.
