Senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan met Iranian counterparts in Tehran on Monday to discuss regional security coordination.
- Iran's National Security Council said the talks include Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, Pakistan's army chief Asim Munir, and Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin.
- The meeting is the first high-level contact between Iran and all three members of the Mecca defense pact since Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia intensified.
- Iranian officials told Munir during his visit last week that no talks with Washington will occur until Tehran's demands are met.
- Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan signed the Mecca agreement in August; Pakistan ratified it last week, while Turkey's parliamentary approval continues.
