Senra, founded by former SpaceX engineer Jordan Black, has raised $65 million to bring software-driven automation to the production of wire harnesses for vehicles.
- Senra announced a $65 million Series B round co-led by Lowercarbon and Interlagos, with participation from General Catalyst, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Founders Fund.
- The startup, founded in 2023 by Black and Benjamin Shanahan, develops software tools to standardize wiring processes and produce digital twins for technician guidance.
- Black said wire harness manufacturing has not changed since the Cold War era and that Senra's Amp software platform tracks materials and engineering changes to prevent catastrophic failures.
- The company currently produces 1,000 harnesses per month across two factories and aims to reach 10,000 per month in 2027.
