Ticket sales open for Egyptian league Al Ahly–Zamalek derby

Tazkarti has begun selling tickets for the Cairo derby between Al Ahly and Zamalek, scheduled for the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

• Tazkarti announced ticket sales for the match, with 40,000 places allocated, 20,000 per club.
• The match kicks off Sunday at 8 pm at Cairo International Stadium.
• Both clubs hold 13 points from five matches, each with four wins and one draw.
• Slovenian referee Rade Obrenović will officiate the derby.
• Essam Abdel-Fattah, head of the refereeing committee, defended the appointment and dismissed criticism of the Slovenian official.
• He rejected claims that the referee was cheap, saying he earns $5,000–6,000 and the crew $18,000–20,000 plus travel.
• Abdel-Fattah said the committee tried to appoint Szymon Marciniak or Danny Makkelie, but both were unavailable.
