Assiut governor follows up on measles vaccination campaign in Sahl Selim

Governor Mohamed Alwan toured Sahl Selim to review the national free measles and rubella vaccination campaign now running across Assiut.

• Alwan visited Sahl Selim primary school and a health unit in Al-Awna village alongside health and education officials.
• The three-week campaign, launched October 25, targets about 1,213,000 children in Assiut, including 45,000 in Sahl Selim.
• Alwan said Egypt holds a WHO certificate confirming freedom from measles and rubella.
• Alwan urged intensified field follow-up and coordination to ensure full coverage of targeted children.
