Egypt minister inspects Al-Jarra Cave ahead of declaring it the 32nd nature reserve

Egypt's local development and environment minister inspected Al-Jarra Cave in New Valley, preparing to declare it the country's 32nd nature reserve.

• Manal Awad assessed the cave's calcareous formations and rock engravings during the field visit with New Valley Governor Hanan Magdy.
• Awad directed an environmental survey of the surrounding area, a comprehensive management and protection plan, and paving of the road to the cave.
• The cave would become New Valley's fourth nature reserve.
• Awad said the designation follows established legal and technical procedures and urged responsible visitation that preserves the site.
