Al Ahly has arrived in Uganda to face Kitara in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup round of 32 on Saturday.
- The delegation, headed by board member Sayed Abdelhafiz, landed at Entebbe airport Wednesday morning after a five-hour flight from Cairo and traveled to Hoima.
- Egyptian ambassador Sherif El-Gammal and embassy staff received the delegation, which was later greeted with traditional African dances at its hotel.
- The first leg takes place Saturday at 4pm Cairo time at Hoima City Stadium, with the return leg set for October 25 in Cairo.
- Sports broadcaster On Sport has confirmed it will air the match.
- Kitara FC captain Benjamin Nyakogo said his team will rely on defensive solidity and swift counter-attacks, noting midfield progress.
- Coach Ammouta planned two training sessions after the delegation's five-to-six-hour bus ride to Hoima prompted special travel arrangements.
- Ammouta excluded 11 players, including suspended Yasser Ibrahim and Karim El-Debes, due to suspension, injury or fitness; four others were omitted for technical reasons.
- New signing Aqtay Abdullah voiced frustration over his repeated exclusion, and media figure Khaled El-Ghandour said the player is unhappy with his playing time under Ammouta.
