Egyptian Labour Minister Hassan Raddad launched a standard procedures guide for overseas employment, developed with the International Labour Organization, to protect workers.
- Raddad launched the guide on Tuesday with the ILO, under the THAMM labour-migration project spanning Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco.
- Raddad said the new Labour Law No. 14 of 2025 prompted a review and update of the guide to reflect legal and procedural changes.
- Raddad said the ministry set up a pre-departure orientation unit and runs campaigns warning against irregular recruitment.
- Raddad said the ministry works with the EU on the second project phase, THAMM PLUS, to expand vocational training and bilateral labour agreements.
