Scottish musicians back bid to turn closed Glasgow arts centre into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

A group of prominent Scottish musicians has endorsed a plan to transform the former Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow into a Scottish Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

• The Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) closed in January after financial difficulties.
• Midge Ure has agreed to become inaugural patron of the project, named ScotsRock.
• Ronnie Gurr, former CEO of the Scottish Music Industry Association, said the proposed hub would include a live venue and museum.
• Creative Scotland, which owns the building, said it will invite expressions of interest for the site.
