6th of October City halts water for 16 hours after main pipeline fault

The 6th of October City Development Authority has announced a 16-hour water outage and pressure drop after a breakdown in a main pipeline.
- A fault in the main line carrying turbid water from the Al-Ayat intake requires a 50% cut in pumping to the new purification station.
- The interruption and weakened pressure run from 10 PM Friday October 16 until 2 PM Saturday October 17.
- Complete outage is expected in the industrial zone, the southern neighborhoods, the Pyramids plateau, and Faisal and Haram areas.
- The authority urged citizens, bakeries, and service and commercial establishments to stock water in advance until repairs finish.
