Egyptian ministers tour IWWI 2026 water technologies fair in Cairo

Egypt's water and housing ministers toured exhibitors at the IWWI 2026 international water technology exhibition, held October 26–28 in Cairo.
- Soweil and El-Menshawy inspected German booths presenting leak-detection, flow-measurement and solar sludge-drying technologies alongside efforts to localize water-treatment chemical production.
- Soweil said Egypt has approved establishing a central administration for non-conventional water resources to expand treatment, reuse and desalination.
- Cairo Sewage Company chairman Adel Hassan said the Robiki industrial wastewater plant treats 24,000 cubic meters daily, with a third phase planned to raise capacity to 36,000.
