Israeli settler and military attacks on Palestinian olive farmers have surged during the 2026 harvest, prompting fresh UN documentation and condemnation.
- UN OCHA recorded more than 200 attacks on Palestinian farmers since September 1, exceeding the entire total for last season.
- Palestinian farmer Musa Bani Shamsa and his 17-year-old son were beaten by masked settlers armed with pistols and knives near Beita on October 14.
- The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission counted 409 attacks from October 1–21, 317 by settlers and 92 by the army, including one farmer killed by settler gunfire.
- The UN Human Rights Office said the attacks constitute a tool of displacement and urged states and donors to act urgently to protect the harvest.
